Who is Your Friendly Travel Planner?
Hi! I'm Sarah, the founder and owner of Amity Vacations, which is an independent agent of Magical Enchanted Vacations. I like to consider myself Your Friendly Travel Planner!​

I am from a suburb of Grand Rapids, Michigan, which is on the west side of the state about 45 minutes from Lake Michigan.
​
I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After that, I worked at a popular office funiture company designing custom products.
​
During this time in my career, my husband passed away unexpectedly at the age of 30. At the time, we had 3 kids under the age of 2-years-old, twin girls and a newborn baby boy.
​
This was obviously a very hectic time in my life.
​
A couple years later, I ended up leaving my engineering position of 9 years to launch my own virtual assistant business. With that, I mainly worked on freelance writing and website design for small businesses. This change improved my mental health significantly, allowed me to work from home, and have more time with my kids.
​
Despite our family's circumstances, I have been very fortunate to be able to travel with my kids. My twin daughters are now 10-years-old, and my son is 9-years-old. We've been to Walt Disney World 5 times, on 2 Disney Cruises, and many mini-vacations within driving distance of our home.
​
My own childhood was also full of travel! My parents took us on yearly road trips, including to the Rocky Mountain states, Texas, Florida, Washington D.C., and a bunch of places in between.

Because of my love for both travel and helping others, a friend suggested that I become a travel planner. Soon after that, I began training and aquiring the necessary certifications for travel planning. That is how Amity Vacations was launched!

All About Amity Vacations
The definition of Amity is "a friendly relationship." This company revolves around that meaning, and strives to achieve it with each of my clients, which I like to call "Friendly Travelers."

The goal of Amity Vacations is to establish a friendly relationship with each person I work with. This is extremely beneficial in ensuring they have one of the best and most memorable vacations of all time.

This begins with the Amity Vacations social media accounts. This is where you can find fun and informative posts to inspire and help you with your travels.

The next step in establishing that friendly relationship is by setting up a Zoom call, where I can to get to know you and your vacation expectations better. This connection allows me to curate the most accurate vacation quote possible.

By establishing a friendly relationship, I want you to feel completely comfortable in making requests for changes to the vacation proposal. That way, if I didn't hit the mark on your expectations, or some other issue has come up, you can tell me exactly what you need.
